In a world in crises so much is demanded of schooling and particularly of citizenship education, in terms of preparing the next generation to engage and renew a thriving and beautiful world, but a world plagued by multiple global crises. Research suggests that more critical approaches to citizenship education are vital but come with significant tensions and challenges for educators. Needed are more collaborative and cross-domain spaces for educators to discuss their understandings and evolving practices of citizenship education. This project brings together K-12 teachers and their students, teacher educators and teacher candidates from a small set of school classrooms and faculty of education classrooms to share and develop teaching praxes and resources in the broad area of global citizenship education (GCE).
